Critique of Book on Hate Speech

06/22/12 ... Michael McConnell reviews a book on hate speech by Jeremy Waldron. While the United States has not, as yet, legislated against hate speech, Waldron recommends that it should. McConnell points out some dangers in that approach, including abusing the laws for political ends, which has often happened, and finishes with a call for constitutional protection of speech.
