Bishops Appeals Discriminatory Ruling in Trafficking Laws

04/19/12 ... The U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, through Catholic organizations, provided services to thousands of human trafficking victims and received the highest objective reviews. Their grants were not renewed because they refused to refer for abortions. The ACLU sued the USCCB, alleging a violation of the Establishment Clause. The federal district court agreed, but the USCCB is appealing the decision.
