02/25/12 ... A second federal injunction offered another reprieve for New York City churches wanting to continue holding services in public schools. While the Second Circuit narrowed Judge Preska's first preliminary injunction to a single church, she issued a second injunction based on freedom of religion. Legislation is also pending.

The new injunction is based on different grounds from the Second Circuit's ruling. The Second Circuit considered the free speech argument, but had no need to rule on the free exercise argument. J. Preska has
