NM Couple Sues for Gay Marriage

04/17/13 ... In New Mexico, the ACLU has filed a lawsuit on behalf of two lesbian couples, arguing that denying marriage licenses to gay couples violates their rights to equal protection. Opponents are concerned partly about the effect on religious liberties, such as for Elane Photography, which was recently found to violate discrimination law for refusing to photograph a lesbian commitment ceremony.
